Adventurer's Index, France, Galleries Last Call: May in the Luberon Posted on May 14, 2014March 7, 2018Author Slowlanefrance The Luberon Mountains are a place to poke, as we’ve done many times. You’ll meet horseback riders, such as these in Saignon.. You’ll also see bike riders … and, on occasion, their personal assistants. Neither cars nor buildings are terribly modern. But the food? It’s tasty. Here’s the view from the hillside town of Saignon. And one of the not-terribly-modern cars there. Next we visited Sivergues, the village with the minature church. That would be my brother, Dennis, on the right. Red poppies are everywhere in May. Siverques is a hiker’s paradise. Our last stop this day was Lourmarin. It’s a good place for a drink, though I prefer something other than the regional pastis. This is the Lourmarin clocktower.
