A home away from home. A place of celebration and street music. A city ancient, graceful, stylish and contemporary. It was the home of painter Paul Cezanne, who painted Mont Sainte Victoire 60 times. Today, its good King Rene likely would shed a tear in the silence. Because Aix is a place to gather, to be with friends, dogs, too. Catch a parade on Cours Mirabeau, shop in a market, 6 days a week. The food is fresh and often sumptuous. There’s always time to sip wine. The light here dances, changing throughout the day. Life is lived outdoors. At dozens of fountains, in parks, filled with flowers and plenty of history, at one of the many museums. Aix is our second love. Someday, we’ll be back..
