In truth, Old Silver Beach in Falmouth, MA, has no bench,

just a wall — and Falmouth’s most beautiful sunsets.

It’s a peaceful place, facing west toward Buzzard’s Bay.

At dusk, sunset watchers gather quietly on its white, sandy shores

Sand is off limits on crutches as my Achilles mends.

Beauty isn’t. We stopped at West Falmouth Harbor on the way home.

I’ve never measured a successful trip by how many destinations I can circle on a map or check off a Bucket List. To me the best journey, and the best ravel, moves more like a good conversation.
